When the range was launched back in 2009, it was our aim to design an innovative family of workplace luminaires without following in familiar footsteps. The first generation of the Office Air LED radically redefined what was understood by office workplace luminaire. The Office Air LED was the first model in the world to break with the principles which previously applied to floorstanding luminaires, thereby opening up new trendsetting application possibilities with its strict separation of task light (direct light) and ambient light (indirect light).
The architect Stefan Behnisch from Behnisch Architekten gave us important tips in terms of design, functionality and lighting comfort during the development phase. Simple, reduced formal idiom, the use of ultra-modern LED technology to increase efficiency and top-quality manufacturing are still the hallmarks of the luminaires in the constantly extended and optimized Office Air LED family.
No other workplace luminaire combines top design quality and the latest LED technology better than the Office Air. The precise edges in combination with the reflecting chrome or the silk-matt gleam of anodised aluminium give the Office Air its timeless aesthetic and an incomparable exclusivity.
The Office Air features the extended PDLS.next function: the ambient light sensor continuously detects the level of ambient light and continually adjusts the luminaire to achieve a constant level of brightness. This enables users to individually set the level of brightness they perceive as pleasant by dimming up and down on the luminaire. The automatic brightness control remains active. The individually set level remains stored in the luminaire even after it has been switched off.
The new Office Air LED Power produces a total luminous flux of up to 8,690 lm, whereby the separately switched indirect light is sufficient to make additional basic lighting superfluous when the surroundings and lighting conditions allow.
The Office Air LED luminaires can be ordered in 2,700 K, 3,000 K and 4,000 K versions.
Please note: From summer 2017, the Office Air will be gradually replaced by the new Office Air 2.0. You will find further info on the new Office Air 2.0 HERE.
