Rim R Wall
Floating Light
The new Nimbus Rim R 36 Wall luminaire perfectly complements our range of Rim R ceiling luminaires. Like the range of ceiling luminaires, the wall luminaire fascinates the beholder with its formal reduction and harmonious composition of circular and cylindrical geometry.
Design and functionality are closely interwoven in the Rim R family: the slim body is made of translucent, high-quality acrylic glass and – held by an almost invisible mounting – seems to hover in the circular element made of high-quality aluminium. The entire miniaturised technical system including a converter and optional dimming unit is concealed in the elegant, cylindrical base.
Manoeuvrability
Rim R Wall can be rotated through 350° and the lighting element can be tilted through 90°. This high level of manoeuvrability allows the creation of a wide variety of lighting scenarios on the wall. This wall luminaire is just right for providing accentuated illumination of wall surfaces and also looks impressive when installed in a row or in groups. If the light emission of the Rim R Wall is directed downward, it can also be used as a reading luminaire.
Gesture-controlled dimming
Upon request, the Rim R Wall is also available with convenient gesture-controlled dimming. A sensor allows you to dim at the luminaire itself without touching. And all this is possible without an additional external dimmer. This means that the Rim R Wall with gesture-controlled dimming can be connected to a standard 3-wire cable – simply switch on the luminaire with the classical wall switch and then conveniently dim at the luminaire itself.
NEW: The dimming range is divided into 2 segments – the upper, brighter segment is the Lighting Mode and features smooth continuous dimming; the lower, more strongly dimmed range covers the Ambiente Mode in finely adjusted stages. Complete dimming puts the luminaire in stand-by mode; a white glow at the sensor is all that remains visible, thereby showing its position in the dark. When you have dimmed the luminaire completely, you can dim up to your desired brightness level by activating the sensor once more.
When the luminaire has been dimmed completely, activating the wall switch will initially switch the luminaire off. If you wait for 5 seconds and then switch the wall switch back on again, the last brightness level set before dimming down to zero will be called up.
The six high-quality finishes – brilliant white, matt anodised frosted silver, brilliant polished chrome, matt anodised titanium grey, matt anodised gold and matt anodised graphite black – allow a wide variety of possible uses. The finishes are extremely long-lasting and have a timeless look about them.
The luminaires in the Rim R range can be ordered in 2700 K, 3000 K and 4000 K.
