Opening of the Solar Decathlon house in Wuppertal

On Monday 28th February 2011 at 11.00 a.m., the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Wuppertal will welcome guests to the official opening of the Solar Decathlon house in Wuppertal.
The team from Wuppertal will be reviewing it very successful participation in the international competition in Madrid to find the most attractive and energy-efficient solar house.

No small thanks to their outstanding lighting concept, the team from the University of Wuppertal came sixth in the competition in Madrid. The University collaborated closely with the Nimbus Research Company (NRC) on the project. The Spanish ADPI Lighting Association awarded the solar house's lighting concept 2nd prize for the "innovative lighting control system" of the luminous ceiling.
