LED luminaires at the Didacta education fair
Education is a subject that will shape the future. And not only that – it is also a record-breaker. From 22nd to 26th February, around 95,000 visitors came to the Didacta fair in Stuttgart, the world's largest event centering on lifelong learning and education. There were discussions on trends in didactics, and new products were presented at this unique gathering for those concerned with education.
Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, was among the exhibitors with its department "Partnership in Education" and stood out with a very successful stand concept. Stephanie Kreber and Christel Soethe were responsible for the stand design, displaying considerable expertise in their spatial realization of the motto "10 aims of the Stuttgart Partnership in Education". The stand concept was based on clear architecture and the translation of the aims into a striking graphic: 10 yellow dots (representing the aims) extended across the wall and floor – and reached beyond the boundary of the stand. Four Nimbus Modul L 120 suspended LEDs provided fitting lighting for the central advice counters.
The aim of the Stuttgart Partnership in Education is to establish a coordinated system of education, care and upbringing. The entire range of education-related activities including those from schools, youth support groups, cultural and sports institutions as well as other non-school care, support and leisure schemes are planned, coordinated and permanently networked in the city as a single system.
