Three nominations for the German Design Award

Three nominations for the German Design Award

Three Nimbus LED luminaires have been nominated for the German Design Award 2013. The award is the international premium prize awarded by the German Design Council.

The nominated <product:roxxane-office - Roxxane Office> is our professional light tool with highly integrated technology. Nimbus pooled its long years of LED expertise and channelled it into the product's design and development process, which lasted for almost two years.

The new <product:modul-l-196 - Modul L 196> luminaires fit in seamlessly with the Modul Q and R ranges and add a suspended elongated luminaire to the product family which provides efficient and wide-area room lighting for offices and workplaces. The individually suspendable 40-watt Modul L 196 is the perfect alternative to conventional louver luminaires.

Last but not least, our <product:modul-q-v-6-spot - Modul Q V 6 Spot> has also been nominated for the premium awards. Although at first glance the luminaire may appear to be a logical new development within the Modul Q range, a second glance reveals that it is a completely new type of recessed spot for directional lighting for use in the home, buildings and shops. It adds a directional, narrowly focused light source in three beam angles to the wide beam luminaires in the Q range.

The renowned jury for the German Design Award will meet in August 2012 and the winners will be announced in November. For further info on the premium award of the German Design Council, please go to: www.german-design-council.de
