Roxxane moves into the Efficiency House Plus - reopening on 8th June in Berlin

"Berlin's cleverest house" will be reopening its doors to the public during the "Long Night of Science".

Almost 15 months have passed since the Welke/Wiechers "test family" moved into the Efficiency House Plus to put the functionality of the research object to the test. The result so far has been pretty impressive: It was the German Building Minister, Dr. Peter Ramsauer, who commissioned the house, and he was very pleased to report, "The building produces (...) more power than the family needs for using household appliances and operating the technical system. This surplus was used to fuel the electric vehicles in front of the house." The family felt very comfortable in the house and is "proud to be able to take part in such an architecturally and technically spectacular project".

The reopening ceremony of the Efficiency House on Saturday 8th June will feature a free program of events with guided tours through the house and information on the subjects of energy-efficient construction, mobility, funding, saving electricity and lighting.
And, of course, the house also features Nimbus LED luminaires, which provide energy-efficient lighting in the living area of the house designed by Werner Sobek. Over 50 Modul Q luminaires have already been installed in the living area and the L 120 suspended luminaire hangs over the dining table. These are now set to be joined by our Roxxane Office NEON EDITION, which is sure to become an eye-catching highlight. Very noble and powerful, but at the same time unostentatious and modern, it makes the perfect accessory for the spectacular "House of the future".
