Enterprises that still make a major part of their turnover with conventional lamps are going under. That was the dramatic picture painted by the "Der Spiegel" newsmagazine on 4th August in its article "Going under in a sea of light" – while portraying the Nimbus Group as shining example of the positive trends in the market, that is to say as an enterprise that, unlike so many large luminaire manufacturers, has mastered the change of tack in technology and now only makes three percent of its turnover with traditional lamps. The article describes Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl as a "pioneer of the world of LED" whose company, Nimbus, has been developing and manufacturing LED luminaires for private and non-residential buildings at its location in Stuttgart for almost ten years now and which has already realised over 8,000 LED projects ranging from homes to company headquarters (e.g. Unilever).
It was the first time that "Der Spiegel" had visited us to carry out research and, besides remarking on the length of the boss's hair, also commented on Nimbus's innovative capability compared to the "big players" in the industry.
