Once again, Nimbus is playing a pioneering role by linking highly efficient LED technology with advanced batteries to initiate a development that enables us to use light sources in brand new ways. In future, luminaires will no longer be restricted by the dictates of the power cord supplying them with electricity from the mains: the future is cordless. If no mains cable is necessary, light becomes flexible; it accompanies users throughout their own four walls – and creates a brand new quality of living.

Mobile light also does away with the problem of wrongly positioned or non-existent ceiling or wall outlets. Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl describes the major benefits of his new “cableless light” concept thus: “Our mobile luminaires enable high-quality lighting anywhere in the building without having to go to all the trouble of installing electrical fixtures.” The new generation of luminaires only has to top up its power two or three times a month at the docking station.
