One cableless day in Milan
Nimbus presented its charming, cableless luminaires at the Salone del Mobile / Euroluce international furniture fair in Milan. From 4th to 9th April, Nimbus turned a palazzo into a home environment illuminated by cableless LED luminaires during the Fuorisalone.
I LOVE CABLELESS LIGHT
This was the slogan when Nimbus creates a home environment in the fashionable Brera district of Milan illuminated by cableless LED luminaires – and invited the public to come and discover the surprising, in part experimental variants of the mobile light sources. Cableless light represents a paradigm shift in the way we use light. Luminaires are no longer restricted by the dictates of the power cable supplying them with electricity from the mains. If no mains cable is necessary, light becomes flexible; it accompanies users throughout their own four walls – and creates a brand new quality of living.
Nimbus presented at Fuorisalone a brand new special edition of our Roxxane Leggera CL, designed in cooperation with the renowned German furniture manufacturer Walter Knoll.

In collaboration with the Product Design course (Prof. Volker Albus) of the Karlsruhe Design College (HFG), Nimbus exhibited in the showroom during the Fuorisalone. Under the title «kkaarrlls' lights», the HFG presented a collection of limited edition luminaires and decorative lights. For a number of years now, the HFG has used its «kkaarrlls» label to showcase the way in which an up-and-coming generation of young European designers approach product design. The 2017 edition focuses on battery-powered, portable LED luminaires created in collaboration with Nimbus.
