Ceiling luminaires
As a substantive reinterpretation and consistent extension of the minimalistic Modul R series, the Nimbus Rim R series fascinates due to its formal reductionism and completely new design elements. With its design of the Rim R series, the ID AID design studio has succeeded in reinterpreting the iconic Nimbus LED module.
This luminaire closely interweaves both design and functionality. The flat body of the light made of translucent acrylic glass – held by an almost invisible mounting – seems to hover in the circular element composed of high-quality aluminium. Three different diameters with different heights and six surface finishes – from brilliant white to chrome-plated finish, matt titanium grey, matt gold, matt graphite black or anodised finish – allow a wide variety of possible uses.
As regards the selection of new colours, ID AID and Nimbus put their faith in high-quality exquisite surfaces and coating techniques. The wafer-thin anodized or chrome layers are extremely long-lasting and have a timeless look about them. And the matt gold, anodised version of the Rim R is a real eye-catcher in itself and not only as a jubilee luminaire to mark Nimbus’ 25 years of existence.
