Malereibetrieb Eberhardt, Tinnum

Airy, light, open – the Eberhardt painting and decorating business in Tinnum is literally shining in a new light. After the old premises had begun to show their age, Volquardsen Architekten from Westerland developed a new interior concept. The Lichtinsel lighting and design company supported them with the planning. Many of the existing elements in the painting and decorating company were to be reused, while the office structures were to be adapted to fit new requirements. The new rooms come across as modern and state-of-the-art, featuring a combination of plenty of white with fresh coloured highlights. Acoustics played a critical role in the comfort of the barrel-like construction. This is how the architect Birte Welling-Volquardsen explains her decision for a combination of Rossoacoustic PADs and Nimbus LED luminaires: "The floating ceiling panels offered a perfect opportunity for combining acoustics and design with the theme of colour. The interior architecture returns to these colours in the choice of chairs or wall colours."
