Texeria 72202, Nagold

Students attending Nagold's fashion academy are dubbed "Texers", so it is only logical that the centrepiece of the LDT Akademie Fashion Management – an inviting environment for eating, drinking, studying, working and having fun – should bear the name "Texeria". The designer Michaela Kranz developed the interior concept together with students at the LDT and the head of the academy Bettina Grüninger. Students were involved in the planning right from the very beginning, lending active support during the extensive refurbishment work, which also saw new life being breathed into existing materials under the motto "Upcycling and Recycling". As part of the Häfele Group, Nimbus took charge of lighting design and developed a concept with general, atmospheric and special effect lighting using products from Nimbus and Häfele. In the foyer, for example, elegant Lighting Pads, colourful Rossoacoustic Pads and Lighting Pad Lounge luminaires ensure pleasant room acoustics and provide glare-free light. LOOX5 strip lights from Häfele are used for general lighting in the catering area, while Nimbus Q FOUR TT Track luminaires provide special effect lighting. The lighting in the Texeria serves students at the LDT as a built-in lesson in lighting design for fashion shops and presentations. Following on from the collaboration for the Texeria, the lighting professionals now even give seminars at the academy on the subject of lighting design. People with no connection to the academy can also rent the Texeria for events.
